Coincidence? maybe, maybe not.

“Coming to Mawanga village is not by accident. Even before you were born, God already know you will be here one day”- Pastor Paul Nyende

This is what Pastor say to all the visitors that come to Mawanga Village and this sentence does hold certain power in it.

Just by listening to this sentence itself from a mouth of pastor to all the visitors, imagine you are the one listening to it, doesn’t it give feel like a big knock onto your head and itlead you to think about it? Probably for the first 5 seconds, your appearance might look a little surprise and at the same time a few bubble of questions mark above your head but soon after that 5 seconds, your mind started to answer this question thus creating a VISION for you. Amazing isn’t it?

That vision might be able to let you know why are you here in this village? What can you do for this village while you are here or after you have left? What can you learn throughout this trip? What’s the take away from here? And all this questions probably exist for Yvonne and I. Well, not probably but definitely.

After being here for about a month or two, thinking back how this trip happen still does give me certain surprise on everything that happen before just fit so nicely to where I am now. Let me bring you  for a brief run of how everything happens!

Year 2008 – I enter into Nursing diploma and Yvonne are working as account assistant

Year 2009 – Kelsey gave a talk to us in Primers camp and Daniel Kalai is the Rowan asia coordinator

Year 2010 – I was planning for my graduation trip to Egypt but eventually happen to think of going Africa so I approach Daniel about it and what surprise me is soon after there is a serious riot going on in Egypt. That’s also telling me that going Africa is more or less confirmed. And base on casual conversation, Yvonne wanted to come as well!

Year 2011, Jan – So Yvonne and I initially plan for a 6 months trip in Africa and it’s actually highly possible but just so nicely, Kelsey got attached around that time and eventually getting married which cut down our plan of stay to 3 months.

Year 2011, Feb – I went for National Service health screen and ECG show that my heart might have a problem that can’t confirm my PES status until a heart scan is done, my enlistment will be on hold.  Fortunately, the doctor say that my heart still runs normally, I’m glad about that. Heart scan is on 15 Aug 2011.

Year 2011, March – Yvonne Resign from her accounting job just for this trip and all the money we have after combining is only enough for 3 months stay. Now isn’t Kelsey marriage plan, my NS on hold status and our financial ability status ring a bell?
J What’s more, I’m now assisting in the village clinic  assessment proposal and Yvonne helping out with Rowan finance!

Everything that happen for the past 3 years just fix so nicely on why we are here now and this lead me to believe that everyone of us have a deep cause that God have planted in you. Whatever you are struggling right now, don’t give up because effort will eventually pay off the moment you live your dream and live the cause that God has plan for you. Enter into nursing certainly isn’t my choice and I’m struggling so hard till I nearly quit the course twice. Imagine I really quitted my course, I would not have any ability to serve in Mawanga clinic. Maybe for the past 3 years, all I wait is for the moment where I am right now.

Curious about the Cause within you? Ever question why you are doing what you are doing right now? It should be the time to pray for an answer from God. And when prayer is not answer within the time range you want, don’t be upset or give up trusting God. For those who have waited for the lord has brought faith to a whole new level. It’s as good as renewing his / her faith.

Below are all the gimmick shots and video :D Tons of it, take your time and enjoy folks !
