and BBQ Dinner with Thadd

There’s really lots of happening programme we had for the past week and welcoming 2 more Rowan Intern from the U.S! Aubery and Michaela, they have just arrived yesterday morning and are still adjusting from their Jet Lack! They are going to be here for 5 weeks, so Yvonne and I will be welcoming them and also sending them off! This really makes me feel like we do have a long stay over here in Africa.
Amy and kids (House owner of the place we stay) are leaving for America tomorrow evening till 10 Aug, which is the same day Yvonne and I going back to Singapore, so now I have to carry up the big responsibility to take care of the house and the people living together in it, because I’m the only MAN! Managing the black out at home, taking care of the ladies safety and maybe even driving around from town to Village which I’m really looking forward to! :D

So 2 weeks ago Ronnie (Rowan Choir Director) and I went over Mawanga Village to teach the Rowan students a new song!

Listen to our Choir Director with his new song :)

Ronnie leading a song during service

And look at the fruitful result that harvest 1 week later for the revisit :D

After the service on Sunday, all the Rowan Students are call upon a gathering, they are receiving gifts from a Christian Relief Organization, Samaritan's Purse, a long delay of Christmas Gift 2010. They receive all type of gift ranging from daily life usage material to toys or even candies. Look at the joy and smile on their face! :D

As Thadd is leaving us, going back to America to work on his wedding, we given him a fabulous meal treat! But with one condition :D He has to eat Chinese food because he dislikes white rice so much but at the same time, here are some funny stuffs that’s happening! The moment we step into Fang Fang Restaurant, there’s actually Chinese working over there! And Yvonne got so happy and excited to see Chinese like finally, I don’t understand why but she keep smiling at herself while speaking in Chinese. It really weird to see Chinese when I’m Chinese myself because we don’t usually see them around the street, seriously wondering where are they hiding at. Nonetheless, we really enjoy the those Chinese dishes and watching Kelsey, Thadd and Joelle using Chopstick :D

Visiting of the Holy Mountain when we are back to Mawanga village is a must! And here are those fabulous shots that we have taken!

Last meal with Thadd that we are not missing, we had BBQ at home!

We have about 2 more months over here in Africa and exciting programme just keep coming up! Here are some sneak previews folks! This Saturday we are going to attend our first African culture Wedding, Irene and George! We are really looking forward with the foods, dancing, decoration of the environment and many more!

And by today or tomorrow, Kelsey and I will be meeting on of the board member from The Mercy Project, this organization exist to help out the health care and medication in Africa, we have been praying so much that we can have gotten help and assistance for the clinic, so! More update of the outcome to be reveal on the next entry! Just a moment ago, Kelsey says that I will have an opportunity to conduct leadership training for Rowan together with her! Yes! I am not dreaming, this is going to be an unforgettable experience I’m going to have!

As for Yvonne, she will work on the micro-business, Beads for Hope, looking for opportunity to grow and empowering the community with practical skills and at the same time looking through the Rowan Finances! She is now cracking her head on how to come out with a good coverage letter to send out to various company and individual for sponsorship and donation.

Below are some of the gimmick shots :)
